About the exhibition

  • What time does the National Art Center, Tokyo open? When is it closed?

  • I want to go to the National Art Center by car. Is there a parking lot?

    There is no parking lot at the National Art Center, Tokyo. If you are a person with disabilities, please ask the security guard in front of the west gate (in front of Aoyama Park) for assistance.

  • Is there a place to park motorcycles and bicycles at the National Art Center, Tokyo?

    Enter through the main entrance of the National Art Center, Tokyo, and you will find a motorcycle parking lot and bicycle parking area behind the ticket booth. Please use these facilities.

  • Can infants enter the National Art Center, Tokyo?

    There are no restrictions on infants entering the museum. Please note that you may be asked to leave the exhibition room temporarily if you disturb other visitors.

  • Can I bring a stroller into the National Art Center, Tokyo?

    You may bring your stroller with you. However, please note that you may be asked to refrain from using your stroller for safety reasons when the facility is crowded.

  • Does the National Art Center, Tokyo offer services such as stroller rentals?

    The National Art Center, Tokyo provides strollers for loan. If you would like to use one, please inquire at the information counter on the first floor.

  • Can I borrow a wheelchair?

    The National Art Center, Tokyo provides wheelchairs for loan. If you would like to use one, please inquire at the information counter on the first floor.

  • Does the National Art Center, Tokyo have lockers?

    Lockers are available throughout the National Art Center, Tokyo. Items that do not fit in the lockers can be stored at the information counter on the first floor.
    Please note that suitcases are not permitted inside the exhibition galleries. We kindly ask that you make use of one of the options above.

  • Does the National Art Center, Tokyo offer childcare services?

    The National Art Center, Tokyo offers childcare services on the second Thursday, third Sunday, and fourth Monday of every month.

  • Will there be a traveling exhibition?

    From June 3, 2026 to September 6, 2026, the exhibition will be on tour at the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto.

  • Is there a senior discount?

    There is no senior discount program.

  • "I took photos at the National Art Center, Tokyo. Is it okay to use the photos I took?"

    Photography for commercial purposes is prohibited. Photography is permitted solely for personal use, but users assume full responsibility for any use thereof.
    Please refrain from filming videos.
    This exhibition accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the use of photographs.

  • Can I use images of works featured on your website, flyers, and catalogs?

    Images of works may not be used beyond the scope of private use as defined by copyright law. The same applies to illustrations in catalogs.

  • Can I take notes inside the exhibition room?

    You may take notes using a pencil. Please refrain from using any writing implements other than pencils, as they may damage the artwork.

About tickets

  • Where can I purchase advance tickets?

    Tickets are available via e+ (eplus) until Tuesday 10 February at 23:59.

  • Where can I purchase same-day tickets?

    Tickets are available at e+ (eplus) and the National Art Centre, Tokyo ticket office.

  • How much is the admission fee?

About merchandise

  • Please provide details about the merchandise.

    Details will be announced on this website at a later date.

  • Can I go just to buy merchandise without a ticket?

    Admission to the merchandise shop requires a valid ticket for this exhibition. As the shop is located within the exhibition venue, visitors without a ticket (those wishing to purchase merchandise only) will not be permitted entry. Please be advised of this in advance.

  • Do you have any plans for mail order?

    There are currently no plans to sell merchandise via mail order.

  • Are there any purchase restrictions on merchandise?

    To enable more customers to make purchases, we may occasionally impose purchase quantity restrictions. We kindly ask for your understanding in advance.

  • Can I re-enter the merchandise shop after leaving?

    Re-entry is not permitted. Additionally, to help reduce congestion, we kindly ask for your cooperation in settling all payments at once.

  • I want to know the payment methods for merchandise.

    We accept cash, credit cards, electronic money, and QR code payments.
    Accepted credit cards include VISA, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, and Diners Club.
    Accepted electronic money includes transportation cards, WAON, and nanaco.
    Accepted QR code payments include PayPay, R Pay, d Pay, m Pay, au PAY, WeChat Pay, Alipay, and Bank Pay.

  • I would like to enquire about merchandise.

    For inquiries regarding defects in purchased items, please contact us at the phone number listed on your receipt.
    For inquiries unrelated to defects, please also refer to the notes provided in the
    merchandise information.

About the Audio Guide

  • Is there an audio guide available?

    Available for purchase (¥650 including tax).
    You may access the QR code via your own smartphone and enjoy the service through your web browser. Should you wish to use this service, please remember to bring your smartphone, earphones, etc.
    ・Communication charges incurred while using this service are the customer’s responsibility. Please be mindful of your battery level and data allowance.
    ・There are time restrictions on using this service.
    ・Operating environment: Safari and Google Chrome; Operating systems: iOS 14 or later, Android OS 12 or later
    * We are considering introducing a limited number of rental devices for those without smartphones.
    * Languages available for the Tokyo exhibition: Japanese / English / Chinese / Korean
